Injection moulding
High-MFR polymers flow easily into complex mould cavities under pressure. PRE tailors recycled PE and PP to the precise flow characteristics required for thin-walled containers, caps and closures.
MELT FLOW RATE TECHNOLOGY
We tailor melt flow rate (MFR) to the requirements of each moulding process using PRE, (Polymer Recycling Enhancer),a proprietary additive that regulates MFR under specific pressure and temperature conditions. PRE also allows colour to be tailored on a batch-by-batch basis, delivering consistent quality, colour and performance for mixed MFR PCR feedstock across PE and PP in every batch.

How PRE works
PRE is used in recycled PE and PP feedstocks to achieve a target MFR range that matches the requirements of the end application — from thin-walled injection moulding to extruded pipe and film. The MFR can be reduced or increased from 0.25 - 50 g/10min.
High-MFR polymers flow easily into complex mould cavities under pressure. PRE tailors recycled PE and PP to the precise flow characteristics required for thin-walled containers, caps and closures.
Parison control depends on consistent melt strength and extensional viscosity. PRE stabilises MFR across mixed PCR feedstock to deliver uniform wall thickness and dimensional stability in bottles and hollow parts.
Pipe, profile and film extrusion all rely on stable melt behaviour over long production runs. PRE maintains MFR consistency so recycled PE and PP process predictably at commercial throughput rates.
Why it matters
The variability of post-consumer recycled plastic MFR is one of the biggest barriers to its adoption in demanding manufacturing applications. PRE addresses that directly.
PRE works across mixed-MFR PCR input, reducing the need for extensive feedstock sorting and enabling a wider range of post-consumer sources to enter the supply chain.
Consistent MFR means fewer production interruptions, reduced scrap rates and more predictable cycle times — all of which translate into lower unit costs for manufacturers.
By targeting MFR to the process rather than the other way around, PRE opens up recycled PE and PP to applications that previously required virgin or imported PCR material.
PRE allows colour to be tailored on a batch-by-batch basis, giving manufacturers predictable visual consistency across production runs without relying on separate compounding or masterbatch steps.
