Our Recycling Plants

Our plants offer a UK recycling route for all post-consumer mixed waste plastic feedstock.

Impact Recycling operates three commercial-scale recycling plants in the UK, using our patented BOSS technology to turn hard-to-recycle plastics into high-purity recycled materials.

Who this is for

Councils and waste managers with hard-to-recycle post-consumer streams

A wave of new regulation is creating growing pressure to find a credible, auditable UK-based recycling route for mixed post-consumer plastic streams. This includes Simpler Recycling (UK, 2027), the Plastic Packaging Tax, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reforms, the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and new EU export restrictions on waste plastic to non-OECD countries from late 2026 — which are closing off traditional export routes for UK waste plastic.

  • Supports local authorities, collection companies, and healthcare providers in meeting their recycling and waste diversion targets
  • Ready for Simpler Recycling (2027) — a route for the flexible and mixed plastics councils will be required to collect for the first time
  • Suitable for mixed rigid, flexible and hard-to-sort streams that conventional sorting routes reject
  • Every load generates separation evidence that can support EPR and recycling obligation reporting

Your journey

How our recycling plants works with Impact.

A tailored pathway from first conversation to commercial outcome.

  1. Step 01

    Share your stream profile

Describe collection type, polymer mix, contamination level, volumes and current disposal route. Most conversations produce a clear go or no-go assessment quickly — no protracted evaluation process.

  2. Step 02

    Feedstock assessment

Impact reviews material presentation, logistics, contamination profile and UK site capacity against BOSS requirements. The assessment is framed around commercial outcome, not just technical fit.

  3. Step 03

    Agree commercial terms

Terms are structured without capital outlay from the waste generator. Impact takes on the feedstock and the processing risk — diverting material into circular recovery rather than energy or export.

  4. Step 04

    Processing through BOSS

Material enters Impact's UK-based BOSS process. Water-based density separation recovers PE and PP from mixed streams. Load-by-load separation records are available for your compliance and obligation reporting.

Impact Recycling offers three commercial routes — each suited to a different relationship with waste plastic.

Recycled Products

The Plastic Packaging Tax and ESG commitments mean buyers need PCR they can evidence, a certificate with a chain of custody. We provide a load-by-load record built for compliance reporting frameworks — and priced to compete with market alternatives.

License BOSS Technology

Processors deploy proven BOSS technology under licence at their own site. You retain operational control; Impact provides the technology, evidence pathways and ongoing support — so you add a commercially viable separation route without a greenfield build or years of in-house development.
