Syklo Opens World-Class Circular Economy Hub in Hyvinkää on 9 September 2026

Syklo will officially open Finland's largest plastic recycling facility and a state-of-the-art biocomposite plant in Hyvinkää on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, with an opening ceremony at 12:00 PM at Kerkkolankatu 40.

By Impact Recycling

We are delighted to share that our partner Syklo will officially open Finland's largest plastic recycling facility and a state-of-the-art biocomposite plant in Hyvinkää on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 — a milestone that marks the fruition of our strategic partnership announced in 2024.

Syklo's new Hyvinkää complex will be powered by Impact Recycling's BOSS (Baffled Oscillation Separation System) technology, and its commissioning this summer will increase Finland's plastic recycling capacity by more than 50%, significantly reduce the demand for virgin plastic, and create over 100 new direct jobs in the region.

Grand opening ceremony

Syklo will be hosting a grand opening event to mark this occasion:

  • Date: Wednesday, 9 September 2026
  • Time: 12:00 PM
  • Location: Kerkkolankatu 40, Hyvinkää, Finland

The event will bring together circular economy stakeholders and decision-makers for keynote speeches, discussions, and tours of the new industrial complex, alongside live music and networking opportunities with industry leaders and policymakers.

A project two years in the making

When Syklo and Impact Recycling announced this partnership in early 2024, we set out to build something genuinely transformative — a 50,000 tonne per year facility that would be unique even on a European scale. Impact Recycling and Syklo have worked in close partnership to bring this vision to life, and seeing the facility become operational is a testament to what both teams have achieved together.

A detailed programme including speakers and schedule will be shared by Syklo ahead of the event.
