Feedstock
Sterilised post-consumer medical plastics
This plant accepts sterilised post-consumer medical waste plastic from healthcare waste operators. Feedstock is typically sharps bin waste from hospital waste plastic collections that would otherwise be sent for incineration.
Process
BOSS-Medical separation of clinical waste
BOSS-Medical separates mixed medical waste into flexible plastics, rigid plastics and fibre using a modified BOSS process designed for sterilised clinical waste. Flexible and rigid fractions are compounded with PRE additive into new recycled pellets.
Output
Recycled LDPE film and rigid polyolefin pellet
The plant produces recycled LDPE film pellet for packaging applications and rigid PP & HDPE pellet for medical waste bins, enabling a circular recycling route for hospital waste plastic.
